Health tips for improved fertility

Your age

An important factor in fertility.
A woman is 4 times more likely to conceive a child at 30 than at 40.
When a man is over 45, the risk of miscarriage is increased.

The fertile window

The period when you have the best chance of getting pregnant
With each menstrual cycle, you have a limited number of days in which to become pregnant.
This period includes the 5 days before ovulation and the day of ovulation.
Spermatozoa can survive between 2 and 5 days in the vagina, which is why your window of fertility also extends to a few days before ovulation.

Having frequent unprotected sex during this period gives you a better chance of getting pregnant.

Lifestyle

If you're planning a pregnancy, eating a healthy, balanced diet and exercising regularly can boost your fertility.

Even in moderation, alcohol and tobacco (active or passive) are bad. Too much caffeine and energy drinks can be harmful.
Taking drugs, which are dangerous for your health and that of your baby, reduces the chances of having a child.
Environmental causes such as pollution and endocrine disruptors also affect your reproductive health.

Please consult your doctor

A couple's fertility may be affected by male or female illnesses such as STIs (in particular Chlamydia trachomatis infection), endometriosis or hormonal problems....
If you have any concerns, or after a 1-year trial, it is advisable to consult a health professional.
